Overall, the soup didn’t taste like clam. It was flavorful but tasted mostly like bonito. The noodles were fairly good, they were chewy but the tips stuck together and didn’t cook all the way through. Overall: okay, but seemed like it was missing something, I think dried clams would have been good. I liked the extra care in the packaging to protect the noodles. I might try these again…not sure.

Why why are these so bad? I rarely meet a noodle that I don’t like. The noodle texture was a little tough and rubbery and not chewy. The soup was spicy but had no flavor. The seasoning packet smelled of onion and garlic powder which is usually an indication of tasty noodles but not in this case. Also, I had no idea that the soup was going to be spicy because there wasn’t a separate spice packet. All in all, the cilantro and bean sprouts had more flavor than the noodles.
Best garlic noodles ever. The noodles are thick and soft without being mushy. It has the perfect balance of salty, sweet and spicy. The garlic flavor is not overpowering and the noodles aren’t greasy. I could eat plates and plates of these. The only bad thing I can say about this is that they won’t tell me what’s in it except for garlic!! Damn yous!

Hey Birthday Police! (and Mr. Lee) Thanks for this creative and thoughtful gift. I can’t wait to try all the goodies and I bet you can’t wait to read all about it! Stay tuned….
Donated to the cause by Nat and not attacked by her cat. Sunday morning before the hangover kicks in, I’m hungry and want a quick fix. I chose these noodles because all you have to do is pour in hot water, cover and you’re done! No pot, no bowl, no mess to clean up. The hot water dispenser is my best friend. I peeled back the cover and was surprised to see such a thick piece of gluten or tofu wafer or whatever it is. The aroma of bonito filled my nose as the water hit the seasoning. After about 5 minutes, I peeled off the entire cover and found a tasty meal. The tofu thing was a little sweet and absorbed a lot of the broth. I like the noodles a lot because they are wide and slurpy. Thanks Nat! These were awesome.
Woke up late Saturday morning and wanted something quick so I grabbed these noodles because it didn’t require a lot of effort or cooking time. When I emptied the seasoning packet I noticed the huge chunks of MSG. I smelled the bamboo as soon as I poured the hot water over the noodles and thought to myself that this flavor is going to be awful. Bamboo is not my favorite but I’ve started to acquire the taste for it as my palette has matured. The bean thread noodles were thicker and chewier than other noodles. The bamboo flavor was not as strong as it smelled. There are bits of artificial pork and lots of dehydrated green onions. I had that MSG tingle on my tongue when I was done with the soup. mmm mmm em es geeee.
