#033 NISSIN Tokyo Shoyu Flavor

Not so keen on this flavor. I was actually disappointed with this Tokyo shoyu flavor after having high hopes that it would be good. It tasted like maruchan top ramen, just salty. The slices of pork I added did not contribute to the meal, in fact I think it helped make it worse. Because I added the pork to the soup while it was boiling most likely changed the original flavor of the noodles. I’ll have to try this again as is – without any of my own toppings…eh…maybe green onions and some fishcake, I can’t help myself (I’m just following the suggested serving)!

Hi, I found your interesting blog which I liked very much.
I’m Japanese but living in a caribbean county, so it’s a little bit difficult to find good ramen in local shop. Product from Japan is good of course, but naturally expensive. So this TOKYO SHOYU RAMEN helps me, with a little effort of boiling hot water separately, one for soup, and in other pan cook noodle. Also important to adjust the quantity of water for soup less than indicated in the package.
I think you don’t need to do this though, because you have more opportunity to get much better product.

I recently discovered the Leicester Oriental Supermarket (England) after being a lover of noodles for years but not being able to find any really good flavours. Having gone through about all of their range (quite an extensive one I think – 50 or so) I found these to actually be my favourite!
