#064 MAMA Green Tea Tom Yum Flavor

Ahh…another tasty noodle treat from Mama. First of all the noodles are not very green, in fact the finished product with the soup is more orange. Also, I didn’t really taste the green tea flavor maybe because it was masked by the spice! Yes! It was spicy – enough to make my lips tingle a little. I guess it’s not that surprising that the noodles had the same texture, shape and size as their other noodle flavors. The soup flavor tasted like a light, spicy tomato soup – sour and a little sweet with a punch of spice. Portion size is great for a snack, so I recommend for all the hungry men (and women) to make two packs! All in all, very yummy – MAMA hasn’t failed me yet.
#007 MAMA Shrimp Flavor Tom Yum
When I’m feeling crappy after a night of drunken debauchery, these noodles really hit the spot. It satisfies every taste bud. The lemongrass makes the soup very fragrant and is sweet, sour, spicy, has lots of msg. Mmmm…msg.
I always prepare these noodles with an egg.
Because the soup is so flavorful, cabbage rounds it out. I like adding the cabbage raw so it gently cooks in the hot broth and keeps it’s crunch. Fried red onions, scallions and a couple of wedges of lemon are also a must.
